My name is Mike and six months ago I thought I was just like everyone else. I used to drag myself out of bed every morning at 6am to go to work. I would drive an hour a day to and from work in the dark and cold during winter, and in the sweltering heat through summer. And let me tell you that 41°C (106°F) ) is REALLY hot in a car with no air conditioner! At work, I was one of those guys who had two bosses, which I hated as the two of them could never get together and make decisions. I would sit at my desk every day trying desperately to think of a way out and getting more and more depressed. I lived weekend to weekend always looking forward to Friday afternoons so I could spend some time with my family. Come Sunday morning, I was already dreading the next working week and wishing it would all go away….

 

I felt like there was no way out. I felt like just another face in the crowd desperately trying to find a better life for my family.

 

I had spent the previous couple of years searching online for any possibility of finding a way out of the rat race. I literally tried every get rich quick scheme you can think of, to the point that I thought my credit card might catch on fire I was zipping it out my wallet so fast and so often. I was sitting in our back garden watching my youngest son Ben playing and thinking about how I had to go back to work the next day, the familiar sinking feeling in my stomach.
